Risk assessment details
  • MON-89Ø34-3 × DAS-Ø15Ø7-1 × MON-ØØ6Ø3-6 × SYN-IR162-4 × DAS-4Ø278-9 - Power Core™ x MIR162 x Enlist™
    | Resistance to diseases and pests (Insects, Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths)), Resistance to herbicides (Glufosinate, Glyphosate), Tolerance to 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, Tolerance to aryloxyphenoxypropionate
MON 89034 x TC1507 x MIR162 x NK603 x DAS-40278-9 corn was developed by classical genetic improvement, resulting from the cross between MON 89034 corn, TC1507 corn, MIR162 corn, NK603 corn and DAS-40278-9 corn, all approved for commercial release by CTNBio.

Methodology and points to consider
The results of all parameters evaluated in the risk analysis of the combined event MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-IRI 62-4 x MON-00603-6 x DAS-40278-9, as well as the individual events and combinations of lower order listed above, comply with the norms and legislation in force that aim to guarantee the biosafety of the environment, agriculture, human and animal health.
EN
Evaluated and approved by CTNBio for cultivation and commercial use in the country, as well as some lower order combinations of the events that make up the combined event MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-IR162-4 x MON-00603-6 x DAS-40278-9.
EN
The biosafety assessment of MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-1R162-4 x MON-00603-6 x DAS-40278-9 corn concludes on its similarity to conventional corn in terms of biosafety to the environment and human and animal health and that plants with subcombinations containing fewer events do not present risks.
EN
Considering that the CTNBio standards are based on internationally accepted technical criteria, that the biosafety assessment of corn MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-1R162-4 x MON-00603-
6 x DAS-40278-9 concludes on its similarity to conventional corn in terms of biosafety in the environment environment and human and animal health and that plants with subcombinations containing fewer events
do not present risks, different from those already evaluated in the process that approved the event combined with the five transgenes, CTNBio decided to grant it.

The results of all parameters evaluated in the risk analysis of the combined event MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-IRI 62-4 x MON-00603-6 x DAS-40278-9, as well as the individual events and
lower order combinations listed above, comply with the norms and legislation in force that aim to guarantee the biosafety of the environment, agriculture, human and animal health, and there is no evidence that the lower degree subcombinations that are not yet included in the aforementioned Technical Opinions may present any biosecurity risk.
EN
MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-IRI 62-4 x MON-00603-6 x DAS-40278-9 corn is substantially equivalent to conventional corn, and its consumption is safe for human and animal health. Regarding the environment, it can be concluded that the genetically modified subcombinations are not potentially causing significant degradation of the environment, keeping with the biota the same relationship as that of conventional corn.
EN
The corn MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-IRI 62-4 x MON-00603-6 x DAS-40278-9 meets the norms and legislation in force that aim to guarantee the biosafety of the environment, agriculture, human and animal health, and allow us to conclude that the subcombinations of MON-89034-3 x DAS-01507-1 x SYN-IRI maize 62-4 x MON-00603-6 x DAS-40278-9 is substantially equivalent to conventional corn, and its consumption is safe for human and animal health.
